Women Crush Wednesday
Salutations, Henchmen!
Another Wednesday, another woman to worship! Well, actually, this Wednesday you won’t be getting a woman to worship…you’ll be getting FOUR! Yep, you read that right, it’s your lucky day, Henchmen! Now before you all start thinking I’m becoming a soft Evil Overlord, you should know that this is not an act of generosity, but simply a happenstance that proved beneficial for you (and no, this has absolutely nothing to do with your Overlord wanting to spoil you in return for spoiling me on CB recently…no, definitely not…hehe). Honestly, last Thursday was a difficult day for most WWE fans as the company announced that they were releasing a slew of talented SuperStars. Your Overlord was especially dismayed and surprised at the women who were unceremoniously released. Some of my favourite female performers were let go and I believe that each and every one of them is more than deserving of our worship, even if the company doesn’t seem to think so (at this time, anyway). While I’m still a little bit shocked and upset that I will no longer be able to see them every week on WWE TV, I also know that they are all incredibly talented, ambitious women who will simply move onto to better things. It’s an exciting new chapter in each of their careers and so it’s the perfect time for you all to hop on board with them and see where their trains stop next! So yeah, without further ado, allow me to introduce your four woman crushes for the week!
Cassandra McIntosh (a.k.a Peyton Royce) & Jessica McKay (a.k.a Billie Kay)
I’m starting with these two because I’ve already introduced them to you before as your women crushes back in August. Remember? The hilarious, ICONIC duo with the Aussie accents and the stunning instagrams? Of course you remember, how could you forget! Still, I highly recommend that you go back and re-read it because this delectable duo is definitely worth a double take. Since the last time I wrote about them, they were forced to break up as a tag team (which would have BROKEN MY DAMN HEART IF I HAD ONE) but ultimately found their footing as independent performers and somehow they each became even more hilarious and confident than they were before. They also have continued to slay the social media game, of course. Below are but a *tiny* taste of the highlights…
You can follow them on Twitter & Instagram (@CassieLee & @JessicaMcKay) if you don’t already. As for those of you who smartly took my advice and did that already back in August, well, keep watching closely, the handles may have changed but the crushable content certainly won’t!
Chelsea Green
Speaking of crushable content, Chelsea Green might just be the QUEEN of it. Like, seriously. She has so much of it, she made an entire calendar just out of bikini shots ALONE. I mean, that really says it all, doesn’t it? Well, there’s actually still quite a lot to say about Chelsea Green but I’ll try to keep it brief. Although we barely got to see her during her time at WWE due to injuries, she had already proven herself as an excellent performer with her in-ring ability and the entertaining “hot mess” character she created long before she ever arrived. Since her release, she has hinted at big things to come and I don’t doubt that an entertainer as ambitious as she is will disappoint in that regard. Only one week has passed since she was released and she has already recorded the first episode of her new podcast, 50 Shades of Green. So yeah, she gets shit done and is obviously an absolute firecracker in every sense of the word. What’s not to love?
Check out her Twitter (@ImChelseaGreen) and Instagram (@ChelseaaGreen) and stay tuned to see what this exciting entertainer will do next!
Mickie James
MICKIE JAMES IS A GODDAMNED LEGEND. I’d even go so far as to put her fine face on the Mount Rushmore of women’s wrestling. She helped revolutionize the women’s division in WWE and she has had some truly iconic moments in the ring throughout her 20+ (!!) year career as a wrestler. Her accolades and accomplishments speak for themselves. There’s no doubt that one of her next stops will be the Hall of Fame, although her career is still far from over. She still throws down with the best of the current women’s division.
Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that she also has a country album? It’s hard to keep up with everything this legend does but following her on Twitter (@MickieJames) and Instagram (@theMickieJames) might help. ;)
Whew! Well, I’m guessing these four woman crushes will keep you pretty well occupied for the foreseeable future. YOU’RE WELCOME.
Until next time, Henchmen! Stay evil.
